Job Description

Grey Market Management Data Analyst

As the Grey Market Management Data Analyst, you’ll join a growing team and be responsible for implementing the Global Grey Market framework.  You’ll be responsible for maximizing analytics return on investment, driving scalable data architecture, and delivering data products to enhance decision making across Client’s Global Grey Market Management function.

We are looking for a multi-tasking, self-starter candidate that is highly collaborative, able to work cross functionally, and has an entrepreneurial spirit in a rapidly changing environment. This candidate needs to be a dependable teammate and a self-motivated data evangelist, who enjoys finding relationships between disparate data sets and clarity in a muddied data environment. You understand the big picture and are comfortable working independently towards a goal. You are curious, ask questions, and are continually learning as well as finding opportunities to share knowledge with others.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the vision, direction and culture of Grey Market Management
  • Solid experience in using data visualization and dashboarding techniques to make complex data more accessible, understandable and usable to drive business decisions and outcomes
  • Expert at sifting through data, identifying critical information, analyzing, developing hypotheses and making recommendation
  • Translate complex business problem statements into analysis requirements and work with internal customers to define data product details based on expressed partner needs
  • Leverage technology platforms, internal and external resources, and analytical tools to create and deliver assessments for reporting purposes
  • Ability to execute in multiple data environments involving complex joins, data cleaning, and feature creation on cloud computing platforms (e.g. AWS) using SQL
  • Core mathematical ability to apply state-of-the-art machine learning algorithms and/or statistical modeling in a programming language like R or Python to understand patterns and provide insights is required
  • Detailed requirements gathering, prioritization & documentation
  • Monitor and solve operational or data issues in the data pipelines
  • Develop purposeful, performant & Best-In-Class visualizations for GMM capabilities in Tableau
  • Ability to create automated tableau dashboards using Python a plus
  • Be a creative problem solver and have an entrepreneurial spirit
  • Act, drive and engage with a “progress over perfection” mindset and approach

Qualifications:

  • 4-year B.A. in Business, Statistics, Computer Science, Finance or related field or 2 years of additional experience in lieu of a degree
  • Minimum 3-years relevant work experience
  • Database management, data visualization, business analytics tools (ie. Python, R, SQL Server, Tableau, Power BI, IBM Cognos, etc), Case Management Systems, GIS and other analytic tools
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications in required
  • Demonstrated ability to operate with a high degree of ambiguity, logical problem structuring and strategic problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional ability to analyze data to provide insights and make recommendations
  • Strong analytical, verbal and written presentation skills
  • Can-do attitude and history of making stuff happen independently and as part of a team

Desired Skills:

  • Experience in digital/e-commerce, understanding of the grey market and basic retail acumen
