WBM Data Migration Lead

Job Description

The WBM Data Migration Lead will have at least 5-7 years' of experience administering, customizing, deploying or migrating enterprise PLM, CAD or ERP systems

Role:

  1. Work with customers as a subject matter expert in PLM system transition and migration.
  2. Lead the definition and execution of custom migration solutions for CAD, Part/BoM, change management and other related data using a proprietary ITI data migration toolkit.
  3. Work directly with the end-customer team to capture project requirements, define and oversee developing the appropriate technical solution. You will jointly develop/test/execute the solution in a complex PLM system infrastructure and ultimately execute the production migration.
  4. This is a consulting and project execution role that requires working closely with customers and also developing data migration solutions.

Key Technical Skills:

  1. Experience with Windchill Bulk Migrator (WBM) is mandatory
  2. Familiar with migration tools and strategies
  3. 5+ years of experience working with Windchill
  4. Good understanding of Windchill Object model, Windchill object relationships
  5. The ideal candidate would have software development experience using either Java or Python or C/C++
  6. Experience with configuring and customizing Windchill will be a plus
  7. SQL and/or familiarity with large data set analysis is also a plus

  1. Strong problem solving abilities with minimal oversight
  2. Strong written and verbal interaction/communication skills
  3. Ability to multi-task across multiple concurrent projects
  4. A desire to engage, interact and build a relationship with the end-customer (mostly remote)

Work Environment:

  1. You will be part of a 25-member Data Migration practice that focuses solely on large data migration projects. The team is primarily located in Milford, OH and Pune India.
  2. Customers are typically located in the US or Europe but occasionally elsewhere. Most work is done remotely with 1-3 on-site trips over the course of a typical 6-12 month project.
  3. Located and able to work in the U.S. from a REMOTE home office.
  4. Authorization to work in the U.S. (NO sponsorship is available)

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in one of the following or similar ~

  1. Computer Engineering, Computer Science or Electrical / Mechanical / Aerospace Engineering
