JORDAN FOOTWEAR PRODUCT MERCHANDISING OPERATIONS  MANAGER

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for a Footwear Product Merchandising Operations Managers to join our Global Jordan Footwear Operations Team. Our ideal candidate is organized, operationally minded, able to juggle multiple priorities, able to work in an ambiguous environment and comfortable sitting at a leadership table. Additionally, the ideal candidate should have calendar management and planning experience and a deep passion for understanding and optimizing the product creation and merchandising seasonal process. This person also needs the ability to effectively work cross functionally across Client  & Jordan, dimensions, and product engines. Effective verbal and written communication and strong meeting facilitation is also a must-have.

WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON

On any given day you will help the Footwear Product Merchandising teams deliver Product Line Architecture, prepare for critical product creation gates by providing tools templates and guidance. You will drive operational excellence throughout the Product Creation & Merchandising processes, working with Leadership to execute the strategy of each Product line within the business, and enable product excellence by enhancing the analytical capabilities of the division.

In addition to driving key initiatives from Global Footwear into Jordan’s Footwear Team, you will also be responsible for enabling and driving a Cross-Dimension Footwear offense, representing the Jordan’s footwear team across genders.

Assistance on driving KPIs, busines metrics, and providing one source of truth for product data will be a part of the role as well.

  • DRIVE OPERATIONAL & PROCESS EXCELLENCE:
    • Work with functions (FW/AP Product and Merchandising, FW/AP Design Ops, Geography teams) to receive tools, processes, templates to drive best practices into each dimension within the gender through awareness, training and accountability.
    • Lead integration of new initiatives into dimensions/functions
    • Drive FW product creation process excellence and accountability throughout the CODE through process excellence, improved metrics and transparency.
    • Facilitate cross-functional, end-to-end alignment for key processes and product checkpoints (Line Planning, CODE, Gates etc).
    • Set agendas, schedule formal and informal touch points, coordinate functions’ ownership and next steps.

  • OPERATIONAL KPIs:
    • Provide operational metrics at key seasonal moments to help the team measure progress on their strategical tactics
    • Act as bridge between marketplace intelligence and product team. Leverage existing capabilities while also helping to develop marketplace analytical muscle.
    • Provide analytical support and assist in development of overall FW strategy

  • COMMUNICATION AND INFORMATION FLOW
    • Help the team by providing tools that enable the seamless flow of information throughout the FW product creation & merchandising process.
    • Provide clarity around gate expectations and the tools necessary to achieve business results.

WHO WILL YOU WORK WITH

You’ll be working directly with the Director of Business Operations in Jordan. You have a key role in enabling the Jordan Ftwr team’s success throughout the seasons in addition to supporting the product merchandising team and aligning with Client  ops, Men’s/Women’s/Kids teams, and geo merchandising.

WHAT YOU BRING TO Client

  • Deep process and operational experience, including familiarity with the CODE Process and the end-to-end product operations process
  • Collaborative & strong communication skillset, including strong story-telling skills including powerpoint and/or keynote presentations
  • Ability to lead virtual teams, manage complex projects and balance multiple workstreams
  • Self-directed and comfortable working in ambiguous environments
  • Passionate about problem solving
  • Change agent/change management skillset
  • 5 Years work Experience in Footwear Product Creation, Merchandising, Finance, Strategy, Consulting, or Relevant industry.
