Job Description

Position Summary: The Program Manager is a technical interface between the manufacturing plant team and the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) customer teams and is responsible for establishing trusting relationships and day-to-day communication with multiple customer disciplines including engineering, quality, purchasing and manufacturing. This position will coordinate all activities to achieve program deliverables, successful launch, quality expectations, and delivery requirements through formulating cross-functional product teams that are assigned specific roles and responsibilities towards the program.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Lead program activities through an internal cross function team using an internal gate process to track the progress of all required deliverables and approvals

• Develop project timing to meet all customer milestones and internal requirements

• Participate in the process of new business quoting including preparation of supplier RFQ’s, design pre-feasibility analysis and costing

• Prepare and manage the status of individual project budgets

• Constantly monitor and transparently report on progress of the project to program team members and leadership

• Coordinate development, specifications, and procurement of first-generation equipment

• Support Supply Chain Management as an engineering interface with key suppliers for quoting, procurement, delivery of products, supplier evaluations and engineering changes

• Generate win-win situations by clearly identifying and understanding the customer’s specific needs

• Provide customer findings feedback to marketing though the use of presentations, datasheets, customer visits, market research data, formulation of product business and launch plan, and product pricing

• Visit customer locations during major milestone events to support the Customer and client teams as required

• Participate with innovative solutions that move the company forward

• Conduct all internal and external business activities in accordance with the mission, vision and values of the organization

REQUIREMENTS Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or relevant field required Years of Experience:

• 3+ years of experience in Automotive Program Management

• 3+ years of experience in OEM product development processes Other Requirements:

• Demonstrated experience with OE management systems

• Demonstrated experience in OE automotive PPAP process

• Experience in formulating and managing complex project schedules

• OEM or Tier I automotive industry experience highly preferred

• Spanish or German language and written fluency is a plus. Must be able to effectively communicate and/or translate complex automotive business and engineering concepts

• Valid driver’s license and passport required for domestic and international travel

• Work beyond the traditional 40-hour work week may be required as programs and projects dictate, including weekends and holidays
