Cybersecurity Training & Awareness Analyst

 

Qualifications

  • Minimum five years of experience in security awareness, training, marketing communications, content development, and events planning
  • Strong MS Office skills including Visio, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and SharePoint
  • Strong communication & presentation skills
  • Thorough understanding of adult learning and change management principles and theories, such as experiential learning, self-directed learning, and transformational learning
  • Experience applying security standards and learning frameworks such as NIST, ISO, HIPAA, SANS, and other standard security compliance regulations
  • Experience in instructional design, e-learning, and curriculum creation and Learning Management Systems
  • Experience in creating training modules using Adobe Captivate

Responsibilities

  • Develop tailored cybersecurity role-based/personas, learning paths, design courses that are foundational to desired secure behaviors in compliance with security policies, procedures and standards, as well as other courses to be developed and deployed in connection with enterprise risk management or security risk assessment findings and remediation
  • Create innovative security awareness campaigns using solution provider and custom-developed tools designed to be flexible and adaptable across a diverse employee population (executives, engineering, sales, finance, customer service, etc.)
  • Create baseline foundational campaigns required for all employees, but also adapt and tailor campaigns to focus on role-specific requirements while bringing a strategic perspective to the ongoing evaluation and development of learning paths that include specific concentrations of elective courses that further cybersecurity knowledge and skills
  • Provide in person (remote) training sessions with various teams around cybersecurity best practices
  • Provide input to strategic vision designed to reduce employee, contractor and third-party risk while aligning security awareness program with the enterprise's greatest risks and measure the impact in risk reduction
  • Evaluate the effectiveness and engagement levels of L&D programs through surveys and metrics to provide feedback to management and further hone our process
  • Plan and execute security awareness initiatives to reach the target audience through appropriate channels (digital media, print media, training, events, etc.)
