Responsible for full life cycle management of global enterprise-level Citrix virtual application environment and related dependent technologies
Install, configure, and maintain Citrix infrastructure (including VPX NetScaler/ADC), published applications, and endpoint client versions
Manage the day-to-day administration, maintenance, monitoring, capacity management, and problem resolution
Serve as SME and L3 escalation for application support, troubleshooting, and guidance to junior Citrix engineers
Responsible for keeping track of Citrix and RDS license and resource usage, trending and capacity planning for future growth
Provide advanced technical consulting to internal teams for solution design, system management, performance tuning and modification of solutions
Design and implement high availability throughout Citrix components, eliminating single points of failure, and taking into consideration disaster recovery and business continuity strategies
Leverage extensive technical knowledge and experience utilizing Citrix to deliver solutions to the business. Plan, prioritize, and manage projects, service requests, and routine assignments
Identify opportunities to optimize inefficiencies, standardize, and automate existing processes
Accurately maintain documentation as it relates to configuration, processes, service records, asset inventories, topologies, administration manuals, standard operating procedures, support contacts, etc.
Work within a ITIL framework, following change control policies, and leveraging enterprise ticketing system (e.g. Service-Now)
Required Skills:
7+ years supporting Citrix technologies, including XA/XD/CVAD (7.6 or later), Provisioning Services (PVS), Machine Creation Services (MCS), Web Interface/StoreFront, and Citrix App Layering, within a large enterprise environment
4+ years managing NetScaler/ADC, to include Design/Architect/Deploy, Gateway, GSLB, Rewrite/Response Policies, Certificate Management, CLI, Utilization and Traffic Analysis
8+ years of experience with Windows Server OS, on-prem (VMware ESX) and Cloud (Azure, AWS) based hypervisor environments, and LAN/WAN/Firewall network technologies
Expert proficiency in scripting, especially PowerShell and Python
Extensive experience navigating, querying, and extracting information from database sources (i.e. SQL) and presenting in easily digestible format, such as Tableau or Power BI dashboards
Expert understanding of Windows internals and system level debugging for Windows 10 and Server 2012 and later
Advanced knowledge of Windows Active Directory, Citrix and Domain Group Policy, DHCP, DNS
Education:
Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field OR equivalent work experience in a technical discipline related to Information Technology that demonstrates technical competency
