SENIOR DATA ANALYST

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We’re looking for a Sr Data Analyst with the ability to assist the business Product Owner in the agile methodology, documentation of requirements, creation of stories and acceptance criteria, and the profiling and analysis of data in both the raw source and final solution states.  They will be able to understands business needs and translate those into technical strategy. Daily they will work to design, develop, and implement new decision support solutions that help the business leverage/operationalize analytical insights.  They will use their expertise with both business and technology to translate business needs into technical requirements helping the business product owner be successful and the data engineers be efficient.  This role will be key in igniting Client’s move towards its Consumer Data Acceleration strategy via advanced financial solutions.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

If this is you, you’ll be working within the Finance Analytics Squad to execute on engineering future state solutions supporting Client’s transition to our new state of art Sales and Financial ERP.   You will be gather requirements and design data flows to intake financial transactions, develop and test complex business rules for cost attribution, and identify and model data against additional product and customer attribution to support financial optimization and deep analytics.  Technically, this means you’ll be responsible for building the financial analytic capabilities that transform Client to meet the challenges of a mixed retail and wholesale future.

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

This team is the most recent expansion of the Enterprise Data & Analytics Finance, Procurement and HR Solution Engineering practice which executes on business driven analytic solutions that directly impact our financial, risk, and strategic optimization activities across the enterprise.  Within one of out Finance Analytics squads you will be helping the business Product Owner create and drive an agile product backlog within the 8-10 person team as together you work to deliver transformational reporting and analysis solutions over the next 18 months.  You will also work with the wider product team to drive roadmaps that provide a larger solution viewpoint and align to stakeholder expectations. Stakeholders encompass the financial leadership from different functional domains within headquarters and Geos responsible for measuring financial performance and developing product and financial plans.

WHAT YOU BRING

• Some combination of these qualifications and technical skills will position you well for this role:
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Marketing, IT or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience with an emphasis on business reporting and analytics required
• Experience with Financial data and systems
• Strong ability to lead and/or work on cross-functional teams and provide project management support
• Experience in definition of new measures, and the translation of business goals into quantitative metrics and reporting
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Problem structuring and strategic problem-solving skills
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple projects with multiple business stakeholders on firm deadlines
• Able to influence and communicate effectively, both verbally and written, with team members and business stakeholders
• Strong experience in relational SQL and Database Analysis
• Experience in Python, Spark, Airflow, etc.
• Experience with Cloud Data Stacks (AWS, Snowflake, etc)
• Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms
• Strong understanding of solution and technical design
• Strong problem solving and analytical mindset
