Job Summary

Develops information systems by designing, developing, and installing software solutions.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide support and troubleshooting for current equipment operation.
  • Use investigation and data analysis to identify and correct the cause of a problem.
  • Identify and implement quality and operational improvements.
  • Support research and development and continuous improvement.
  • Analyze test specifications to ensure that LINK equipment properly executes a customer test.
  • Create reports and data displays that permit users to visualize the performance of their test units.
  • Collaborate with other team members to enhance the capabilities of LINK Test Equipment.
  • Offer creative and suitable solutions for design challenges or flaws.
  • Design and document control systems for precision test equipment.
  • Use existing knowledge and experience with software development tools to contribute to the development of our next generation control system
  • Adapt to our internal software development toolset and environment and use it in combination with other tools and languages to achieve equipment control system design goals
  • Develop algorithm, flow chart and documentation for software.
  • Ensure work is performed in a safe manner using all available safety equipment.
  • Adherence to company policies.
  • Adherence to LINK quality process and procedures and identify continuous improvement opportunities implementing through our quality system.
  • Be a role model and advocate of the LINK culture that is consistent and emphasizes the identified mission, vision, and values of the organization.

 

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant engineering discipline
  • Previous experience writing software to control electro-mechanical systems including communicating with external hardware
  • Experience using LabView a plus
  • Understanding of hardware and software designs
  • Solid understanding of database design
  • Proficiency in multiple programming languages including VB.Net, C++, C# and a modern scripting language (Python, JavaScript, etc.)
  • Solid understanding of mechanical and electrical systems and undergraduate-level physics and mathematics
  • Strong trouble-shooting and problem-solving skills
  • Clear and easily understood written and verbal communications
  • Any of the following would be a plus: specific NVH experience, high level math skills, experience with RTOS, FPGA, .NET 6 and Linux
  • Interpersonal skills for working on a team and with customers
